Fibre Technician
Job Description
Our client in the Information Technology Industry is looking for an Application Developer to join their team in George, Western Cape.
The Fiber Technicianxe2x80x99s job involves various tasks from large to multi-story office buildings to small housing buildings. The primary functions of the Fiber Technician include:
Resolve, repair, and install fibre optics systems and ensure that they work properly.
Examine and replace faulty and old fibre optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance
routines.
Take care of fibre splicing and rectify fibre optic problem areas.
Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirement.
Formulate and maintain system records and system designs.
Civils, including trenching soil, tar, cement, and reinstatement thereof.
Manage a team of splicing technicians and civils labourers.
Report daily on progress.
Computer literate.
Smart phone literate
Manage WhatsApp groups.
Civils xe2x80x93 Installing manholes, moving of manholes.
Splicing of domes, joints etc
Floating of fibre.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid Driverxe2x80x99s license.
Professional communication skills.
Good client relations skills.
Certified splicing tech xe2x80x93 CFO.
Fibre fault finding.
As-Built file completion.
