Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Setting up fibre optic networks, including underground and underfloor cabling.Splicing and Termination:
Joining fibre optic cables to ensure signal transmission.Testing and Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving faults in the network.Maintenance:
Regularly checking and repairing fibre optic systems.Customer Interaction:
Liaising with customers in person or online.Skills and Knowledge:
Technical Skills:
Expertise in splicing, termination, and testing fibre optic cables.Troubleshooting:
Ability to diagnose and fix network issues.Safety Awareness:
Understanding of safety protocols and procedures.Communication:
Effective interaction with customers and team members.Fibre Optic Principles:
Knowledge of optical fibre technology and its applications.Blueprint Reading:
Understanding and interpreting technical drawings.Career Path:
Apprenticeship:
Gain hands-on experience through structured training programs.Formal Education:
Complete a college course or specialized training in fibre optics.Entry-Level Positions:
Start with basic tasks and progressively take on more responsibilities.Senior Positions:

Pay: R8500,00 - R15000,00 per month
