Duties:
Greeting customers
Seating customers
Passing out menus
Taking phone calls
Maintaining a waitlist
Directing customers to coatrooms, restrooms, or a waiting area
Relaying orders to the kitchen
Notifying supervisors of large parties
Distributing reservations among waiter stations
Advising waiters of special requests
Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal qualification will be an advantage
On-the-job training and experience in a large, busy property, hotel / restaurant. Training includes customer service, kitchen safety, food handling, and sanitation.
