Job Description
Our client is seeking a proactive and reliable Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of their farm in Limpopo. This hands-on position requires strong practical skills in maintenance, construction, and mechanical work, excellent communication, and the ability to manage staff, livestock, and guest experiences effectively.
Description:
- Oversee day-to-day farm operations and staff management.
- Carry out and coordinate maintenance and repair work, including:
- Plumbing
- Electrical work
- Fence maintenance
- Construction projects (buildings, infrastructure, general upgrades)
- Mechanical repairs and upkeep of farm vehicles, machinery, and equipment
- Manage livestock and wildlife (game and cattle), ensuring their health and well-being.
- Coordinate visitor and guest management, including:
- Handling bookings
- Preparing accommodations and facilities
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with the owner, staff, and guests to ensure smooth farm operations.
- Support and implement farm improvements as required.
- Proven experience in farm management or a similar role.
- Strong technical, construction, and mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and fencing.
- Knowledge of animal husbandry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
- Ability to handle both practical tasks and administrative duties.
- Flexible, hands-on approach with a willingness to work closely with the owner.
- Must be willing to live on the farm (accommodation provided).
