Job Description
Bergville Area - KwaZulu Natal: An exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Farm Manager to establish and oversee a new Dorper sheep flock of 1,000 in the Bergville area. This role requires a candidate with strong management, organisational, and practical farming skills, who can set up and run the operation from the ground up.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Agricultural Degree / Diploma advantageous
- Minimum 5 years' experience in agricultural field
- Previous experience with sheep farming
- Maintenance orientated
- Ability to motivate and work with staff
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literate
- Valid driver's license
- Manage all administrative & practical areas of a Sheep farm inc but not limited to
- To set up all structures, facilities & resources required for the effecting running of a flock of 1000 Dorper Sheep
- Asist in procurement of sheep, manage budgets & labour. All practically & administratively
- Reporting including budgets & expenditure on weekly & monthly basis
