Farm Foreman Mixed Farming
Position: Farm Foreman
Location: Bloemfontein, Free State
Salary: R20 000 R30 000 per month (depending on experience)
Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company in the Milling and Animal Feed sector, seeking an experienced Farm Foreman to oversee mixed farming operations based approximately 45km outside Bloemfontein.
The ideal candidate has a solid mechanical background, hands-on experience in farm operations, and the ability to manage both people and day-to-day farm activities effectively. This is a permanent position suited to someone who is practical, reliable, and comfortable working within a structured management environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day farm operations
• Manage and maintain cattle herds effectively
• Cultivate maize and maintain planted pasture under irrigation
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of farm equipment
• Implement fire management and prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports to management
• Execute additional tasks as required by management

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant farm management experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical maintenance skills
• Valid driver's license (Code 8 minimum)
• Proven experience in staff management and supervision
• Solid understanding of mixed farming operations (cattle and crop farming)
• Experience working in the Free State farming environment will be advantageous
• Ability to work within a structured management hierarchy and adhere to company farming standards
• Strong recordkeeping and reporting skills
• Must be willing to be based on a farm property approximately 45km from Bloemfontein
