Description
Leading manufacturer of a wide range of packaging solutions for the baking & food industry who supplies a wide range of products to wholesalers and retail clientele throughout South Africa and across boarders into Africa is seeking a Factory / Operations Manager for their Cape Town branch.
The position of Factory Operations Manager is a full-time onsite position located in Cape Town. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the factory operations including production planning, quality assurance, machine maintenance, inventory management and ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirement:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing operations in a manufacturing environment in the packaging industry.
- Relevant tertiary education
- Machine operations and machine problem-solving experience
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, quality management and project management
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Experience with health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
