An exciting opportunity as Facilities Supervisor has become available at New Clicks SA (Pty) Ltd. The role will be based in Montague Gardens Distribution Centre, Cape Town and will report to the Facilities Manager.
Job description
Job Purpose: Effectively manage company assets. Provide a safe working environment at all sites. To control & manage all contractors/service providers service delivery, financial and contract compliance. This relates to the Montague Gardens Distribution Centre.
Job Objectives:
xc2xb7 Effective management of Facilities, Contractors & Service Provider Staff and all resources and aspects relating to these departments at MGDC site
xc2xb7 Assist implementation of complete safety policies and committees in accordance with OHSAct
xc2xb7 Building and maintaining of process and procedures of each role within the department
xc2xb7 Ensure functionality of the DC and office blocks
xc2xb7 To implement a pro-active land and building maintenance program
xc2xb7 Ensure accurate and up to date Databases are maintained Continuous improvement of the data captured, stored and reported
xc2xb7 Administration & Management of the Facilities and 4Me for services & facilities; in order to provide management with effective and accurate reporting
xc2xb7 Effective management and training of the staff
xc2xb7 KPA's to be completed for all staff timeously, with indicated needs for training and development, performance management
xc2xb7 Ensure professional and efficient customer contact
xc2xb7 Provide monthly reports to the Department Head
xc2xb7 Cost Centre accountability and management
Minimum requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
xc2xb7 Grade 12 (Essential)
xc2xb7 Tertiary Education in a similar field (Prefarrably in Facilities management, building, Sustainability, property or construction).
xc2xb7 Min 5 years experience in a Managerial position (Essential).
xc2xb7 5 Years experience in a Facilities Management Environment (Prefarrably in a warehouse/DC environment).
. Must have basic hands on experience in plumbing (Essential).
