Job Description

Key Responsibilities Facilities Management

• Ensure the residence's overall appearance, cleanliness, and state of repair meet operational standards.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational requirements.
• Manage contractors and service providers (cleaning, security, landscaping, and soft services).

Maintenance Management

• Supervise the on-site maintenance team handling daily and emergency repairs.
• Implement scheduled preventative maintenance plans.
• Manage emergency stock, salvage stock, and oversee FFE (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).
• Ensure timely resolution of logged maintenance requests.

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure compliance with OHS regulations and internal risk protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and repairs.

Operational Coordination

• Collaborate with the Residence Manager and support student life programmes.
• Participate in operations meetings and contribute to planning.
• Maintain proprietary software systems (e.g., Hi-Res) for maintenance tracking, reports, and KPIs.

Budget & Procurement

• Manage operational and maintenance budgets.
• Oversee procurement and approve purchase orders in line with company policy.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in facilities or maintenance management (student housing/residential environment preferred).
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, contractor management, and compliance standards.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in digital property management systems.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
