Job Description
The Facilities and Electrical Technician will support and work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure efficient electrical and general maintenance operations across the farm. This role requires a qualified electrician who is also administratively strong, computer literate, and able to coordinate effectively with various departments. The position includes opportunities for growth into management
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, prioritizing, and executing daily and weekly maintenance tasks.
- Perform electrical installations, inspections, fault finding, and repairs.
- Carry out general farm maintenance across buildings, irrigation systems, and equipment.
- Facilitate and coordinate work orders with the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain and update digital and physical maintenance records.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery and completion of tasks.
- Ensure that all work complies with health and safety regulations and internal standards.
- Participate in ongoing improvement of maintenance processes and systems.
- Demonstrate initiative and leadership qualities with a view toward future supervisory responsibilities
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital maintenance systems.
- Practical experience with general maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a management-oriented role.
- Valid drivers license
