Electrician (Maintenance: Factories & Facilities) - Malmesbury

An established company, based in Malmesbury, has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrician within a maintenance and manufacturing work environment.

Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for;

The full electrical maintenance function for all factories and facilities. Preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery/equipment and systems. Installation of new, refurbishment, upgrade and commissioning of machinery/equipment and systems. Perform tasks and sign off on allocated job cards. Monitor, evaluate and optimize use of electricity. Technical support and advice to all departmental managers. Training and coaching of trainees and production personnel. Safe work practices and legal compliance.

Minimum requirements

Preferably Grade 12 / Occupational Certificate: Electrician NQF 4 or equivalent qualification

Accredited National Trade Certificate ("Red Seal" trade test) as Electrician / Millwright .

Electrical Installation ("Wireman`s") License will be advantageous.

3 - 5 years applicable post trade qualification experience in a maintenance/ production/ manufacturing work environment.

Sound knowledge of and application of technical skills in the electrical discipline.

Excellent faultfinding skills related to machinery/equipment and systems.

Good knowledge of applicable statutory and safe work practice requirements.

Good organizing and planning skills.

Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans with excellent communication skills.

Must be able to work overtime and perform standby duties (planned and unplanned).

Own vehicle and hold an accredited and valid South African driver`s license.
