Job Description

Are you a skilled and driven Fabrication & Blasting Supervisor with a strong background in raw materials management, fabrication processes, and team supervision? A well-established leader in the mining and manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced professional to join their production team and take ownership of fabrication and blasting operations at their Gauteng-based facility.
The Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning and execution of fabrication and blasting activities
Ensure accurate issuance, usage, and reconciliation of raw materials (including aluminium, MS plate, and Hardox)
Implement systems to improve efficiency and reduce waste during production
Supervise and develop a team of Shotblast and Paint Operators
Conduct daily and weekly material stock counts and submit reports to management
Analyse production data, monitor performance, and report on operator efficiency
Collaborate with internal departments including production planning, toolroom, and supply chain
Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards

Minimum Requirements & Experience

NQF Level 5/6 or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
3+ years' experience of supervisory experience in a fabrication or production environment
Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel & SAP
Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, welding, cutting, and blasting processes
Solid grasp of mechanical drawings and production planning
Exposure to TQM, 5S, and continuous improvement practices (advantageous)
