Extrusion Manager
Job Description
Purpose:
To manage the processing of plastics in an efficient and cost effective manner by co-ordinating the required resources and to manage the loading of processed stock.
Key duties:
Effective management of the extrusion processing department
Plan, implement, measure and control production targets.
Ensure breakdowns and maintenance requirements are communicated
Effectively manage a staff compliment of 30 employees
Co-ordinate with the stores department to ensure that the minimum quantities of spares and end consumables are in stock.
Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting on tne overall performance of the department.
Maintain a work environment that complies with the safety, health, environment and quality requirements.
Ensure that production quality meets the desired standards.
Minimum requirements:
Matric/Grade 12
At least 5 years experience managing a medium or large production plant, including managing a team.
Valid drivers license
Competencies
Ability to be proactive and allocate resources to attain production targets.
Ability to motivate and manage a team of employees.
Basic IR and conflict resolution experience
