A dynamic industrial supply company is looking for an experienced External Sales Representative with a strong understanding of the packaging market to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between the company and its clients, promoting tailored solutions and driving sales performance through effective communication and market insight.
Responsibilities:
Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers.
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
Conduct cost-benefit and needs analysis for existing and potential customers.
Develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Resolve customer problems and complaints efficiently.
Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within set timeframes.
Coordinate sales efforts with internal teams and departments.
Report on customer needs, interests, competitive activity, and opportunities for new products/services.
Stay up-to-date with best practices, promotional trends, and packaging industry developments.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) with a Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years' sales experience, preferably in the packaging or industrial supply sector.
In-depth knowledge of the packaging market.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Valid Code C driver's license.
Strong negotiation, communication, time management, organization, presentation, and relationship management skills.
