Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years sales experience within the steel industry
- Experience in dealings with flat steel would be advantageous
- Excellent reporting skills and communication skills with customers
- Must be self-driven and motivated
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively whilst under pressure
- Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation
- Working through specific targeted areas with a focused approach on identifying viable leads and opening new accounts.
- Performing online research to generate new leads.
- Reporting on activities and continually engaging in follow-ups.
- Identifying opportunities for company growth.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships with new clients.
- Providing customers with information on current and incoming stock.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product offerings, and pricing.
- Analyzing and sharing information related to the market, competition, pricing, and all other developments within the steel sector.
