External Project Sales Representative - QS & Construction Procurement

Meshco is seeking an experienced

External Project Sales Representative

to grow the market share of our

WireWall high-security fencing system

across

engineer-

and

QS-led construction and civils projects

.

This role is suited to a commercially astute sales professional who understands

tender-driven procurement

, works confidently with

quantity surveyors and consulting engineers

, and can convert

technically compliant offers into purchase orders

.

Key Focus Areas



Specification development and defence

Commercial negotiation and tender conversion

Project-based sales in engineer and QS-led environments

Role Responsibilities



The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Developing and managing relationships with

quantity surveyors, contractors, consulting engineers, and developers



Driving WireWall inclusion on

commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects



Pricing tenders, responding to RFQs, and converting compliant bids into orders

Defending specifications against substitution and value-engineering pressure

Growing market share within the assigned territory

Identifying and leveraging appropriate branding and project visibility opportunities

Coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, order fulfilment, and on-time delivery

Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reporting

Providing informed technical and commercial guidance to customers throughout the project lifecycle

Continuously building product, industry, and competitor knowledge

Minimum Requirements



Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)

Minimum

5 years' experience in external B2B sales

, preferably in construction, industrial, or project environments

Proven experience selling into

QS- or procurement-led buying processes



Strong commercial and negotiation capability

Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the territory

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office; CRM experience advantageous)

Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently in a project sales environment
