Job Description


The Export Manager is responsible for developing and executing the companys export strategy to drive international expansion. The role focuses on identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities while ensuring strict compliance with international regulations and quality standards.
The Export Manager builds and nurtures relationships with international partners, negotiates contracts, and oversees logistics to ensure the efficient distribution of pharmaceutical products globally. Ultimately, the purpose of the role is to maximize revenue and market share through effective export management, contributing to the companys overall success and global presence in the pharmaceutical industry.Key Performance Areas (Core, essential responsibilities outputs of the position)

  • Develop and execute the companys export strategy to achieve sales targets and expand market share internationally.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential export opportunities, considering regulatory requirements, market trends, and competition.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, wholesalers, and key stakeholders to facilitate seamless product distribution and sales.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, pricing structures, and distribution agreements while ensuring legal and company policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (production, logistics, regulatory affairs) to ensure product availability, timely delivery, and adherence to export regulations.
  • Provide market intelligence and performance analysis to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement tailored marketing and promotional strategies in collaboration with the marketing team to strengthen the companys presence in international markets.
  • Monitor export sales performance and address market challenges proactively.
  • Stay updated on global trade regulations and evolving industry standards that may impact business operations.
  • Represent the company at international trade shows and conferences to drive brand awareness and market penetration
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in export management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven success in expanding sales and increasing market share in global pharmaceutical markets.
  • Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations, import/export laws, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple international projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with export management software or ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical exports would be beneficial.
