KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS



The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:


To develop and manage the implementation of the Regulatory strategy and the associated annual performance plans (APP). The administration and management of the end-to-end Permit regime processes. Develop Cross-border road transport regulations. Stakeholder relations management. Research and knowledge management. Establish viable and feasible cross-border road transport business and financing regulatory model, and People Management and Budget management.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge and application of regulatory models, processes, and procedures; Advanced computer skills; Stakeholder Management; Permit/Licensing management value-chain, management process and procedures; Ability to translate strategy into operations; Discretion in handling confidential information; Ethical, attention to detail, integrity and highly confidential.

Formal Qualifications:

A Degree or

NQF level 7

qualification in Law / Transport Management / Transport Economics or related field. Post-graduate qualification at

NQF level 8 in Law / Transport Management / Transport Economics

. A Post-graduate qualification at NQF level 9 will be an

added advantage.

Experience:

10 years experience in a road transport regulatory environment. 5 years experience at Senior Management level. Interaction with Regulatory Bodies or Boards will be an added advantage. Extensive up to date knowledge of Transport-related legislation, particularly in the SADC region
