Day to day running and management of the Finance Department
Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and tax submissions on behalf of the group
Preparation of financial statements including monthly management accounts
Oversee the Treasury function
Financial modelling to guide decision making
Collaborate with department managers to implement technology that will improve the effectiveness of processes and systems.
Oversee all financial and accounting processes in line with IFRS and other accounting and reporting best practices and standards
Ensure accurate and sound financial management practices, including monitoring and reporting to ensure that the company complies with acceptable audit and accounting practices.
Management and oversight of the accounting processes and practices including; payments and payment requisitions, financial record keeping, monthly financial statements, financial month-end and year-end closure, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements including best practice standards
FOCUS TASK AREAS
Responsible and accountable for the financial function of the company.
Preparation of budgets, financials and forecasts including monitoring of budget against actuals
Involvement in execution of the Organisation's Group strategy
Responsible for accurate presentation of Management reporting information (monthly management accounts and annual financial statements)
Provide a high standard of financial controls and strong directional financial leadership
Effective management of working capital including procurement
Ensures adherence to the group reporting standards and policies
Identify and communicate key risks to Senior Management
Maintain the integrity of accounting systems
Responsible for hiring, upskill and monitor performance of Finance department employees
Ensure a cohesive and effective financial team
Develop and mentor subordinates
Develop financial models to guide decision making and provide information to management for effective decision making
Oversee the Compliance with tax act and statutory requirements(legal and regulatory)
Oversee the audit process i.e internal, external and BBBEE amongst others
Requirements
CA(SA)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Financial Management position
