Description:

Performs a variety of support tasks in Operations and Execution including, but not limited to:

  • Management of Trade Execution, Logistics and Inventory Desks
  • Perform supporting functions to the Operations Manager
Essential Requirements (Please read this carefully)
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a related role in Agricultural commodity Trading
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field and/or BComm degree.
  • Operational Management with logistics background in Agricultural commodity trading.
  • Grains and oilseeds (maize, wheat, soya beans, sunflower seed, oils and soya bean meal) background
  • Strong admin and reporting skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management in an agricultural environment.
  • Strong operational assessment and reporting.
  • Strong in automation of systems, processes and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal) in Afrikaans and English.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment with multi-tasking skills.
  • Creation and management of KPIxe2x80x99s for teams and performance appraisals in line with business strategy and goals.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based applications.
Desirable Skills
  • Exposure to ERP systems.
Function
  • Resource Planning support.
  • Management of teams xe2x80x93 Trade Execution, Planning & Logistics and Stock & Inventory Control Desks.
  • Development of systems and implement SOPxe2x80x99s.
  • Management of Team leader capacity and development
  • Manage relationship with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Monthly reporting and analysis.
  • Implement sufficient controls for all functions.
  • Manage and report DAP PNL (Delivered at place profit n loss).
  • Ensure overall contract management and deadlines.
  • Improve and report monthly Logistics PNL (Profit n loss).
  • Create and report sustainable long term transport rate matrix.
  • Ultimately responsible to manage and report monthly 3rd party stock reconciliations.
  • Manage and report monthly revenue cut-off.
  • Responsible to manage and facilitate annual audit process.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies.
