Job Description
A EXCAVATOR Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and performing tasks such as excavation, loading, and maintenance while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Safely
: Ensure the safe operation of the machine in various conditions, following all safety protocols and regulations.Pre-Start Checks
: Conduct pre-start checks on the equipment to ensure it is in good working order before operation.Excavation and Loading
: Perform excavation, trenching, loading, and backfilling tasks as required on site.Maintenance
: Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machine, keeping it clean and in good working condition.Reporting
: Report any faults or issues with the equipment to the supervisor and maintain a log of work performed.Team Collaboration
: Work effectively as part of a team, ensuring the safety of all personnel on site and adhering to company policies and procedures.Qualifications and Skills
Experience
: A minimum of 2 years of experience operating a Excavator is required.Licenses
: A valid Operating Compliance Certificate and a Driver's Code B License are typically necessary.Safety Conscious
: Strong awareness of safety practices and the ability to enforce safety standards on site.Communication Skills
: Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.Physical Fitness
: Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.Salary is market related
