Recycle 1st is looking to hire an e-waste dismantler to join our organisation. We need an individual with a background repairing appliances with electrical knowledge, who is computer literate and has the ability to work towards a target. The candidate will be expected to receive incoming recycling, weigh and note those totals. Knowledge on how to maintain a clean and hazard free storage area is needed. You will also be required to oversee input and output totals and will be required to report those. The candidate must be able to work in a neat and orderly manner and must be self-motivated.

Responsibilities include:

Collect e-waste from the belt or vehicle and note it accurately on the input form.

Accurate overall weighing of incoming e-waste and noting of weights on input form.

Removing of batteries, lightbulbs and printer cartridges and correctly storing them as per rules and regulations.

Correct storing of incoming e-waste in allocated area for 7 day waiting period, as per regulation.

Testing of functioning of e-waste and noting of physical appearance of items (manually or digitally). Correlates with input form.

Dismantling of e-waste items into parts and fractions in a timely matter, target of 30kg per day. Excluding mitigating circumstances.

Weighing of parts and fractions at the end of the day and noting in workbook.

Placing accumulated parts and fractions in bags, securing with zip-tie and noting weight, date and material name on tag.

Storage of like materials together in preparation for selling. To be stored in a neat manner.

Paper trail for each delivery or collection to be completed correctly, with accurate weight, date, materials names and signature.

Requirements:

Proven electrical repair experience Attention to detail High school certificate Good time management
