Key Responsibilities xe2x80x93

In this position you will be required to:

• Deploy, configure and maintain Server infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure and manage operating systems and resources on Physical and Virtual platforms.
• Overseeing system performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Performing system upgrades following new releases.
• Ensuring Servers are compliant with security standards.
• Deploy, configure and maintain windows features.
• Sustaining network integrity, server deployment, and security.
• Proactive health checks and monitoring of Server environments.
• Proactively Identify problems and errors on the relevant to Server Operating systems and features.
• Managing and maintaining share drives and printers on File and Print Servers.
• Managing and maintaining RDS servers.
• Investigate incidents assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems.
• Fulfill approved requests following agreed procedures relating to managing of Server hardware and Software.
• Execute approved maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes when required.
• Report and escalate incidents where necessary.
• Ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests.
• Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization.
• Engineer must be good at time management.
• Engineer must be able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
• Be able to give input to project tasks and architecture designs.

What will make you a good fit for the role?

Qualifications & Experience

• Have an understanding of Storage, LAN / WAN, Active directory, Firewalls and security and Virtualization.
• 2 - 5 years hands on experience with Server infrastructure and operating systems.
• A+ and N+ Certification.
• MCSA 2012 or higher.
• Powershell scripting advantageous.
