To provide a comprehensive Epidemiological and Health indicator service to the Health Unit. Key Responsibility Areas
Provides input into the strategic plan by epidemiological assessment of health status, risk
factors and preventative factors of the eThekwini Municipality area.
Liaises with relevant stakeholders regarding the epidemiology.
Provides input into budgetary planning and undertakes administration functions.
Maintains records and information systems.
Prepares reports in respect of disease states, risk and preventative factors.
Supervises the preparation of reports and submit quarterly and annual reports.
Implements financial control where applicable.
Controls and manages all facets of disease surveillance.
Leads and organises research conducted in the section.
Responsible for the management and control of the epidemiological information system.
Undertake related duties.

Valid motor vehicle driving license.
