As a significant player for renewable energies, we are listed in the top 10 solar EPC contractors globally, employing more than 1,200 people worldwide.We are looking for you as aEPC Project Manager (m/f/d)full time - unlimitedYour TasksObjectivesThe EPC Project Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for project management during the execution of the Engineering Procurement and Construction contracts of Hybrid and/or utility scale PV projects in south Africa/ Sub-Saharan Africa. He/ she is fully responsible and accountable for compliance, budget, cost, quality, schedule, risk, contracts, engineering, integration, stakeholders and security.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the successful execution of solar PV EPC projects from design through energisation and handoverFormal project management of EPC and subcontracts including technical, commercial and stakeholder aspectsManage and report on progress - schedule, costs, risk, quality etc. as and when required by the CompanyResponsible for schedule and achievement of contractual milestonesResponsible of costs, budget and liquidity/ cash flowEnsure compliance with all the specifications and requirements included in EPC contracts and related project documentsReporting to the Head of EPC, the EPC Project Manager will work with Project Development and Sales, Project Purchasing, Construction Management, Engineering, Consultants, Clients and Authorities to ensure compliant project executionWork closely with Project development and Sales during the finalization of the selling process to coordinate internal work and support project saleImplementation, compliance with JUWI processes and standardsAdopt and improve where necessary the standard JUWI project management processes to minimize project risk and maximize performanceEnsure full compliance with the QHSE regulations, legislation, standards, codes and requirements applicable to the projectResponsible for handover to O&M and Plant owner for other departments as neededYour ProfileQualifications and ExperienceEngineering/ Management qualificationMinimum of 5 years working experience in Electrical infrastructure project management (EPC) with overall responsibility. At least 3 years Solar PV EPC project ManagementExcellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally (both suppliers and customers)Demonstrable experience of project cost, schedule, risk, quality and technical management and controlExperience of working autonomously, as the position requires leadership, decision making and problem solvingConversant with project management tools i.e. MS Project & MS Office, etc. and best practiseA good understanding of the electrical grid, South African National Grid Code and grid connection processConversant with health and safety requirements, commissioning and energization of substations & Solar PV plantsExperience of evaluating processes and making appropriate improvements in line with business needsAcquaintance with PMI standards or alternatively industrial standards (to be proven)Experience of contract management and knowledge of standard contract forms xe2x80x93 NEC, FIDIC, etc.Fluent in EnglishDemonstrable ability to work in matrix organizations and to operate in a culturally diverse international environmentTeam player with demonstrable leadership qualitiesDesirable AttributesExperience of working within the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Program and/or executing projects related to energy supply the mining sectorA formal project management qualificationFluent in Afrikaans and/ or GermanProfessionally registered Engineer or Project ManagerBenefits of working for juwiJoining JUWI South Africa, you can expect a hybrid work policy, market related salary, performance-based bonus and contribution to medical aid.
