Envusa Energy is a licensed energy trader jointly owned by EDF Power Solutions and Anglo American. Envusa is, focused on delivering innovative and industry leading renewable energy solutions to private offtakers across Southern Africa and has a stated aim of developing a 3 to 5GW Renewable Energy generation portfolio by 2030. Construction of the first 520MW of wind and solar energy is at an advanced stage and will start delivering electricity to offtakers in Q1 2026.

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and eager Customer Engagement Coordinator to join Envusa Energy's Commercial Team. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about South Africa's evolving electricity supply industry and excited about contributing to the success of a Licensed Electricity Trader and owner, operator, and developer of renewable energy assets, delivering value to our customers and society.
The Customer Engagement Coordinator will act as the custodian of customer energy data and short-term demand forecasts. The role requires close collaboration within the Commercial Team, as well as cross-functional engagement with Asset Management, Finance, Energy Modelling, and Legal, to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and contractual compliance.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Customer Relationship and Account Management

  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, ensuring their engagement, satisfaction and readiness for changing operational requirements.
  • Provide proactive communication on performance and upcoming operational obligations.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for all customer interactions related to energy settlements.
  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding of new customers, managing timelines and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
Customer Data Management
  • Collaborate with technology teams (internal or external technology providers) to integrate client metering data into Envusa's systems.
  • Ensure data quality checks on metering data and confirm energy allocations.
  • Workflow Governance & Optimisation -
  • Oversee the execution of customer engagement workflows, introducing standards, monitoring performance and refining practices.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using insights and customer feedback.
Contract Management
  • Support Envusa's compliance with contractual obligations, identifying deviations and risks early and escalating where required.
  • Support Envusa's delivery of contracted outcomes in offtake and service level agreements.
Champion Customer Needs
  • Be the voice of the customer, ensuring their operational and business requirements inform product and system development.
  • Collaborate within Envusa and with technology providers to improve customer-facing dashboards, workflows, and communication tools.
Process Innovation & Content Development
  • Iterate customer engagement processes and setup new workflows aligned to new product offerings and changes introduced by the Network Service Provider or Market Operator.
  • Produce high-quality customer documentation (guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, process maps).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, law, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in customer?facing roles such as key account or contract management.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing operational processes that consistently deliver business outcomes.
  • Exposure to Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), corporate energy contracting, the electricity supply industry, renewable energy, or trading/data?driven environments is advantageous.
Competencies and Skills
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering high service standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical and contractual information and communicate it clearly to non?technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent cross?functional collaboration, planning, and execution skills.
  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and digital tools (e.g. Excel, BI platforms, CRM systems).
  • Highly organised, detail?oriented, adaptable, and solution?focused, with the ability to manage operational issues calmly and professionally.
