Environmental Engineer - CenturionGauteng, Centurion(Market related)Environmental EngineerWe are currently recruiting for an Environmental Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of environmental rehabilitation projects, with a primary focus on the mining sector. The successful candidate will be based in Centurion and must encompass a relevant BEng or BSc Engineering degree and more than 6 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within the environmental engineering sector.Minimum RequirementsRelevant BEng or BSc qualification in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.6+ years of experience in Environmental Engineering.Registered with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa).Comfortable working outdoors and with building contractors.Willingness to travel.Roles and ResponsibilitiesCollecting and meticulously analysing environmental data.Crafting, modelling, and strategically planning environmental rehabilitation initiatives.Assuming a crucial role in overseeing construction activities during environmental rehabilitation projects.Formulating comprehensive plans for final land use.Calculating retirement obligations for mining assets and addressing environmental liabilities.Orchestrating wetland restoration and crafting intricate stormwater plans and designs.Conducting thorough site assessments to evaluate the environmental impact of mining or commercial operations.Ensuring that design projects align seamlessly with environmental regulations.Generating detailed reports on environmental investigations, as well as Engineering Design Reports (EDRs).Compiling precise Bill of Quantities for various design elements.Providing expert consultation and guidance to clients on environmentally sound practices.Efficiently managing projects and ultimately granting approval for environmental engineering endeavours.Maintaining effective communication channels with clients, government bodies, and other stakeholders to relay project progress, compliance matters, and environmental issues.Offering guidance and mentorship to Junior Engineers through reviews and mentoring.Closing Date:Submissions for this vacancy will close on 21 September 2023, however, you will still have the opportunity to submit your CV for this position till 15 October 2023.Please Note:Thank you for submitting your CV to Marvel Placement Consultants.
