Job Description

A private hospital group with the aim of putting high quality healthcare within everybody's reach is looking for a Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary (Theatre) to join their team at their hospital based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
The Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary (Theatre) is responsible for providing basic patient care and support within the operating theatre, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment. This role assists the surgical team before, during, and after procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining sterile conditions, and attending to patients' basic comfort needs.
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary plays a vital role in promoting patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the perioperative process.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary
- Certificate in Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary
- Theatre nursing experience or exposure will be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of operating theatre procedures, instruments, and infection control principles
- Current knowledge of health and safety regulations within a surgical environment
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
