Job Description

A well-established company based in Cape Town is looking for an Engineer in Training to join their team.
Requirements:

  • A BTech in Quality Management/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Have an ability to write reports and give feedback effectively
  • Have an ability to critically analyse problems and find root causes
  • Ability to organize, Analytical thinking
  • Understanding of Quality processes and products in the business
  • Excellent communication skills, Attention to detail
  • Passionate about excellent service
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and reliable
  • Be a rational thinker, yet creative and open minded
  • Have good people and presentation skills
  • Have the ability to influence others and be assertive where necessary
  • Highly computer literate (Solidworks, Draftsight, Excel)
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing new testing methods
  • Developing new routine QC testing methods and procedures
  • Coordinate the maintenance of labs and testing equipment
  • Assist in the research and development of new testing processes and equipment
  • Assist in ensuring that all current testing methods stay relevant to product application
  • Assist in the commissioning of new testing equipment
  • Coordinate and conduct training requirements
  • Involvement in the testing of new products where relevant
  • In general, ensuring accurate, reliable and repeatable data output
