Our client a Coal Mining Company outside of Middelburg is seeking to employ an experienced Engineering Foreman for Projects and Site. Ideally the successful candidate will already reside in the area and will not have to relocate

To manage the maintenance and operations of equipment and systems in alignment with sound engineering practices and equipment specifications. Additionally, to support in the design and supervision of activities in the estate

Process
Streamline Maintenance and Operations
Supervise planned maintenance schedules and oversee operational efficiency
Manage maintenance and operations of equipment
Create and distribute work orders also close work orders after completion
Coordinate orders and maintenance activities promptly and effectively to ensure that resources are available when required
Coordinate activities during execution and over inspect work done
Deliver projects within budget and specified time frames
Enforce Discipline and Quality Standards
Adhere rigorously to disciplinary and behavioural rules and procedures
Ensure adherence to quality standards, delivering work that meets operational expectations
Maintain high standards of work performance, following prescribed methods to minimise downtime
Champion Safety, Health, and Compliance:
Demonstrate and promote safety principles in the estate
Uphold compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
Proactively identify and report unsafe situations, participating in safety meetings
Take personal responsibility for safety and encourage a culture of safety among peers
Optimise Data Management
Gather accurate information, verify its integrity, and proficiently capture data
Organise and file documents according to established procedures
Drive Team Performance and Innovation
Lead team contributions towards goals and innovation

Minimum Qualification
Grade 12 or relevant NQF 4
Mechanical or Electrical Trade Test certificate
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Years: Minimum 3 years supervisory experience as a Senior Foreman or General Engineering Supervisor
