Engineering Foreman
Job Description
Responsibilities: Supervise all aspects of the maintenance electrical, mechanical and boiler making departments. Prioritise and delegate daily tasks. Ensure optimum productivity and quality of work by subordinates at all times. Implement preventative maintenance, reduce time, improve productivity and manage plant modifications. Ensure OSH Act compliance. SOPs Job observation and administrative controls. Responsible for driving risk assessments in the department. Ensure that hazardous tasks and SHE risks have been identified and discussed with employees. Chair SHE toolbox talks. Discuss relevant SHE incidents and newsletters with employees. Check all tools and equipment for defects. Maintain adherence to SHE program. Ensure work is conducted safely.
Requirements: Grade 12/N3 Qualified Millwright with a Red Seal Certificate 5 years or more experience in the similar role Experience in a wire manufacturing company with good leadership skills. PLC and drive experience
