Energy Engineer
Job Description
Top engineering firm is seeking an Energy Engineer with around 4 - 6 years experience in the renewable energy consulting engineering sector.
The position can be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Particular focus on electrical engineering aspects of projects, but also business development support and project management support of PV, wind, (onshore Wind), wind modelling, yield modelling battery storage, green hydrogen and mini/micro- grid projects.
Focus on grid-connections and large-project context, structure and role players are important.
Financial acumen, with respect to energy projects and project finance will be a bonus along with project management support to the lead Project Manager for the delivery of lenders technical advisory, ownerxe2x80x99s engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector across the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- BEng. or BSc. in Electrical Engineering (preferably with a further qualification in renewable energy
- Candidate Engineer with ECSA
- 4 - 6 years Design experience in renewable energy projects in a consulting engineering environment
- Writing technical reports and presentations, compiling design drawings and presentations
- Preparation of bids and proposals
- Support the senior engineer in winning work
- Projects 20MW and over
- Homer, PVSyst, DiGSilent
