OUR SCHOOL



Reddam House Bedfordview is a premium, co-educational, private school situated near the prestigious Kensington Golf Course.
Providing a balanced, holistic, innovative learning experience, encouraging students to realize their unique gifts, talents and abilities in pursuit of academic excellence, Reddam House Bedfordview school has two extensive campuses with phenomenal facilities for academics, sport and the creative arts. Our BCC Campus for ELS and Junior Preparatory students includes vibrant classrooms, spacious playgrounds, sports fields, cricket nets and tennis courts.




ROLE SUMMARY:



To adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential.


We require an enthusiastic and capable ELS and Jnr primary Head who will promote student success, provide a programme that addresses academic and personal/social development for all students. This is a full-time role which is due to commence term 1, 2024.

STAFF MANAGEMENT DUTIES


  • Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure that the schoolxe2x80x99s vision, mission, ethos and strategy development are clearly articulated and understood by members of the Inspired staff.
  • Lead the appointment, appraisal and management of all school staff.
  • Monitor, manage and implement the school budget and resources, curriculum, calendar and timetable, CPD programme, assessment and reporting systems.
  • Support and guide members of staff, promoting a united staff, working for the good of the school.
  • Ensure the marketing of the campus is effectively undertaken.
  • Take responsibility and assist with the mentorship of all new staff members who join Inspired.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Executive Head in the development of the school.
  • Play a lead role in the positive implementation of equal opportunities.
  • Involved with the Disciplinary process when required.



STUDENT MANAGEMENT DUTIES


  • Responsible to communicate with parents at functions/ meetings/ Information Evenings around all matters.
  • Liaise with parents, students and staff on admissions, academic programmes and discipline matters.
  • Manage safeguarding roles, responsibilities and procedures within the campus.
  • Ensure that student progress is effectively communicated to parents.
  • Help to create and maintain an attractive, effective and exiting environment for learning.
  • Promote the image of the school.
  • Ensure that there is a culture of respect throughout the whole school.

  • Be approachable and caring to pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Work on being an individual with high EQ
  • Address conflicts in a professional manner ensuring that all schoolxe2x80x99s policies and procedures are always upheld in the process
  • Be proactive, honour commitments and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Communicate accurately to relevant stakeholders





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Serve on committee structures as delegated and required by the school e.g. Employment Equity, H&S etc.
  • Participate in all meetings and actively add value
  • Take responsibility for personal growth and attend required courses and CPD activities
  • Provide feedback and formally report back to school on meeting outcomes Monitor and manage assigned projects as per agreed timelines
  • Submit project reports / assignments per deadlines and decisions

  • Several years teaching and preferably Head experience with a specific focus on Reggio Emillia

  • Proven track record of success in

  • Ability and proven track record in management of teams and people management skills
  • Relevant Teaching Degree, Masters
