Electronic Engineer

International leader in the development and manufacturing of automation and access control. International they do development work of smart living systems of home automation. Design, Quality Manufacturing of Products and reselling for the local market. Reseller of imported products from various branches in SA.
Electronic design engineer required to join the R&D team. Main purpose will be to design electronics hardware and firmware for new and existing products.
Qualification:
- BSc. Eng./B.Eng./ Engineering or higher required
- Electronics design
- Firmware (C, Python)
- PCB layout
- Experience conforming to SANS/IEC standards
- Test design
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Embedded design
- Design of high volume and low-cost PCBs
- Do modelling and prototyping of new designs to test their viability before undergoing production.
- Created custom test jigs
- Write Microchip firmware in C and Python scripts on Raspberry Pi.
- Troubleshooting hardware issues
- Research and design concept formation for new projects and also improving on old and outdated products.
- Working in a team to get time critical tasks completed within the required deadlines
