Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Red Seal Electrician Trade Test Certificate (essential)
N3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent (advantageous)
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing/automotive environment
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and fault-finding
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
Knowledge of health & safety regulations (OHSA compliance)
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and attend to breakdowns when required
Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all plant electrical equipment
Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on electrical systems and machinery
Execute preventative and predictive maintenance to minimise downtime
Maintain and repair electrical control systems, PLCs, motors, and drives
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes
Assist in plant upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
Respond to breakdowns promptly and restore production in minimal time
Keep accurate maintenance records and logbooks
Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve overall plant efficiency
