Job Description
Our client in Midrand, Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join their academic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and research, as well as practical industry knowledge to enhance students' learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
- Develop, review, and update course content, teaching materials, and assessments.
- Supervise student projects and provide academic support.
- Ensure timely grading, moderation, and submission of results.
- Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and curriculum improvement initiatives.
- Engage in research, publications, and professional development.
- Contribute to faculty meetings, advisory committees, and academic planning.
- Mentor and support academic staff where required.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies, academic standards, and safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Proven experience teaching in higher education or similar academic environments.
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering principles and applications.
- Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and student supervision.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage with students and foster an interactive learning environment.
- Research experience and/or publications in relevant areas advantageous.
