Purpose of this role: To assist the electrical department to carry out electrical engineering work in accordance with what meets all requirements where mentorship will be provided to ensure safe work practices.





Key Responsibilities:



Fill in a logbook
Identify, label and understand the use of various electrical components. This includes understanding the mechanics behind the component, know what it does, and how it is used for the different applications

Perform testing and troubleshooting on various electrical components

Medium voltage switch gear in the substation - how the mechanics work, transformers, tripping and safety relays

Working with Artisans to understand components of the Electrical department


Grade 12

A degree/ diploma / Btech in electrical engineering or relevant qualification

Ability to take initiative.

Good communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Continuous learning - a curious mind
