Electrical Engineer: Solar

Job Description
Duties:
- Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Create detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and layout plans.
- Perform system simulations and load calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, and HelioScope).
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, and local electrical codes and standards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and construction teams to ensure successful system deployment.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess installation quality and troubleshoot issues.
- Prepare documentation for permitting, interconnection, and commissioning processes.
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, PV system components, and grid-tied solar systems.
- Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, and Excel.
- Familiarity with battery storage and hybrid systems is a plus.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
