Our client in the Manufacturing industry based in Springs, Johannesburg is currently looking to employ an Electrical Engineer.
Main purpose of the position:
- To effectively execute projects and site maintenance with special focus on electrical infrastructure (supply and distribution to point of consumption). In addition, a high level of support is given to the operations and maintenance engineering sections with regards to electrical systems and backup power.
- Lead specific projects to meet the agreed requirement (in respect of design, specification, execution, commissioning, and handover) on time and within budget.
- Ensure adherence to safety and legal requirements as per the OHS-Act for projects and contractors.
- Ensure project, design, execution, and commissioning standards are met.
- Ensure project procedures and standards are followed and adhered to for all CAPEX and Extra-Ordinary Projects.
- Initiating and administrating contracts in conjunction with the procurement department.
- Manage the maintenance of Site Infrastructure and Services (electricity reticulation, etc.).
- Provide electrical expertise to ensure effective, safe, and continuous operations and legal compliance.
- Grade 12
- Relevant Degree: BSc Electrical Engineering or National Diploma xe2x80x93 Electrical.
- GCC would be an advantage.
- Relevant legislation.
- SAP
- Contract management.
- MS Projects Management.
- 10 Years in Continuous Operations.
