Main purpose of the position:

To effectively execute projects and site maintenance with special focus on electrical infrastructure (supply and distribution to point of consumption). In addition, a high level of support is given to the operations and maintenance engineering sections with regards to electrical systems and backup power.

Responsibilities:

Lead specific projects to meet the agreed requirement (in respect of design, specification, execution, commissioning, and handover) on time and within budget.
Ensure adherence to safety and legal requirements as per the OHS-Act for projects and contractors.
Ensure project, design, execution, and commissioning standards are met.
Ensure project procedures and standards are followed and adhered to for all CAPEX and Extra-Ordinary Projects.
Initiating and administrating contracts in conjunction with the procurement department.
Manage the maintenance of Site Infrastructure and Services (electricity reticulation, etc.).
Provide electrical expertise to ensure effective, safe, and continuous operations and legal compliance.
