SUMMARY:
Company: Northern Electrical Projects (NEP)
Location: Ferndale, Randburg
Reports to: Business Manager: Renewable Energy
Type of position: Fixed-Term ContractPOSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Skills:
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

  • Matric.
  • Electrical Qualification/B Tech or similar (must have practical experience).
  • Qualified Installation Electrician with Wiremans License.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Management Development programme will be advantageous.
  • Valid Unendorsed Code 8 drivers License.
  • Electrical & Solar systems and installation experience will be needed.
  • Excellent computer skills (incl. Microsoft)
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical design and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent self-management.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidates responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure that the product and suppliers are of high quality.
  • Oversee projects and ensure high quality standards at met.
  • Ensure the Company complies with Health & Safety
  • Install solar panels and systems
  • Develops plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  • Perform any solar/electrical relevant tasks/projects as and when
  • required by the Company.
  • Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
  • Identify and resolve electrical faults.
  • Ensure installations meet safety standards and codes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair solar panel faults.
  • Follow a project from beginning to end, including handover with the client.
