This is a national role, therefore, the employee will be able to work from any one of our 12 national campuses.
Purpose of the role:
To design, structure and develop the flow of content (including assessments) ensuring that digital learning platform has information that is easily digested for staff & students' retention; through the application of instructional design principles and effective usage of multimedia material. This would include any Moodle development and administration as required.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Honours or Master's in degree related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Instructional Technology/Design Qualification).
Minimum Experience:
At least three years' proven working experience in instructional design and technology
Moodle Administration experience and programming experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conceptualise, create and/or assemble required digital templates / assets in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper digital learning delivery content, courses and assessments
Briefing, training and coaching of internal and external stakeholder including content writers, Faculty members, lecturers, vendors and partners regarding proposed learning technologies and how to use it
Be a source of expertise (provide a consulting service / train-the-trainer) on the end-to-end production of digital content for both internal & external partners
Produce digital learning resources (e.g. storyboards, simulations, videos, embedded eLearning courses, assessment, and badges) by working with stakeholders (subject matter experts and/or content writers, etc.) to develop meaningful content with formative and summative assessment activities
To assist the myLMS, CE and SIM teams to pull data through to myLMS to build student life cycle dashboards and other reports as required to guide Design and Future Learning team decision making.
Assistance with Moodle development and administration
Responsible for quality assurance (select content checks, functional and technical standards) on digital content produced
Use learning analytics for continuous improvement
Recordkeeping and Reporting
Update video content in Asset Library
Planning own work

Functional Competencies:
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design methodologies
Demonstrated proficiency developing eLearning curriculum, storyboards, online tutorials, assessments, and training videos
Basic understanding of course development software and experience using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360/Rise, Adobe Premier, or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) for development, administration, hosting knowledge content, data collection and reporting purposes, preferably Moodle
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text and audio/video scripts
Ability to create instructional videos and software simulations
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
