EEG Technician

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and conduct EEG assessments in compliance with HPCSA guidelines and internal quality standards.
Operate and calibrate EEG and neurodiagnostic equipment.
Review patient histories and conduct pre-assessment interviews.
Record and analyse diagnostic data, making necessary adjustments for optimal readings.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Conduct additional psychophysiological and vital sign assessments (training provided).
Assist patients in completing intake forms and provide clear procedural explanations.
Collaborate with medical professionals for clinical case discussions when required.
Manage accurate data entry using Microsoft Office and relevant systems.
Requirements:
Relevant degree or appropriate qualification.
Registration with the HPCSA.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience as an EEG Technician post-registration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (system training provided).
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and professional demeanour.

Hoof Verantwoordelikhede:
Berei voor en voer EEG-assesserings uit volgens HPCSA-riglyne en interne kwaliteitsstandaarde.
Bedien en kalibreer EEG- en neurodiagnostiese toerusting.
Hersien pasientgeskiedenisse en voer vooraf-ondersoeke.
Teken diagnostiese data aan en ontleed dit, met nodige aanpassings vir optimale lesings.
Onderhou en los toerustingfoute op, en verseker n skoon en veilige werksomgewing.
Voer addisionele psigofisiologiese en vitale teken-assesserings uit (opleiding verskaf).
Help pasiente met invul van innamevorms en verduidelik prosedures duidelik.
Werk saam met mediese professionele persone vir kliniese gevalbesprekings waar nodig.
Bestuur akkurate data-invoer met Microsoft Office en relevante stelsels.
Vereistes:
Relevante graad of toepaslike kwalifikasie.
Registrasie by die HPCSA.
Minimum van 1 tot 2 jaar ondervinding as EEG-Tegnikus na registrasie.
Vaardig in Microsoft Office (stelselopleiding verskaf).
Uitstekende kommunikasievaardighede met n deernisvolle en professionele houding.
