Job Summary

Position: Logistics Manager (Outbound Operations)

Our client is looking for a dynamic Outbound Manager to join their team in the Cape Winelands area.

Overall :

We are looking for a dynamic Outbound Manager to join our team in the warehouse, on our farm. You need to be client focussed and quality oriented with experience in processes, supply chain or logistics, ideally within an e-commerce environment. This role suits a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, exciting environment and who can easily adapt to changing market and organisational requirements.

A passion for process, efficiency and delighting the customer with strong attention to detail and project management skills, are essential to succeed in this position. You will need to manage a small to medium team of drivers and warehouse staff.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the outbound process of daily fulfilment operations
• Route and shipping channel consolidation oversight
• Planning/expediting of daily own-deliveries
• Ensure timely dispatch of orders throughout all shipping channels
• Ensure that outbound queries are resolved timeously
• Manage delivery drivers
• Hospitality-like delivery service management
• Fleet management
• Order return logistics
• Monitor product quality and cold chain throughout the outbound process
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures

Experience and Qualification Requirements:

• Relevant Tertiary qualification (eg. Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Project Management)
• At least 3 years' experience in production / supply-chain / logistics/ E-commerce /hospitality
• People management experience
• A passion to delight customers and give exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate target-oriented and performance-driven attitude
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to adapt to and implement change effectively
• High energy levels
• Fluent in Afrikaans & English, with exceptional writing and communication skills
• A creative approach to day-to-day challenges and a strong sense of ambition

The position in based in the office

Location: Paarl, Cape Winelands.

Salary: R20 000-R25 000 depending on experience

Starting date: As soon as possible.
