Job Description

Earth Moving Mechanic needed for a Cranes division based in Cape Town.
Candidate must:

• Apply electrical, electronic, basic hydraulic and mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery and electrically controlled, electronically controlled equipment and circuitry, hydraulic circuits and components, mechanical equipment.
• Keep detailed records of activities and repairs and any issues encountered, Reporting on equipment status and performance to Line management.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul port equipment such as Ship to Shore Cranes, Rubber tired Gantry Cranes and Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Service Software (i.e. Codesys and Crane Management software).
• Preferably with a minimum of 3-5 years of Field Service, heavy hydraulics, auto electrical.
