Job Summary Duty Manager - Luxury Lodge | Grahamstown, Eastern Cape Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and motivated Duty Manager to join a prestigious Luxury Lodge located in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. This is a live-in position offering a salary of R12;000 per month (negotiable depending on experience) . The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, have excellent people skills, and possess strong operational knowledge of lodge or hotel environments. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star lodge or hotel environment Strong understanding of lodge operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Guest Relations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Professional appearance and demeanour Computer literate, with working knowledge of relevant property management systems (experience with OPERA advantageous) Ability to manage and motivate staff effectively Keen attention to detail and commitment to service excellence Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the lodge in the absence of senior management Ensure that all departments are running efficiently and delivering exceptional guest experiences Handle guest queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally Supervise and support staff to maintain high service standards Conduct inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure quality control Assist with administrative and reporting duties as required Uphold company policies, procedures, and brand standards at all times This is an excellent opportunity for a driven hospitality professional to further their career within a leading luxury lodge environment.
