PURPOSE:

BASED CAPE TOWN (KILLARNEY GARDENS)

The successful candidate will need to provide a professional and timeous delivery of customer orders, as well as collections from supplier when so required. Furthermore, the successful candidate will in addition, be responsible for some warehouse activities.

Key Performance Areas

(Any experience in below items will be advantageous)

• Load and deliver customer orders daily as per the delivery schedule for the Cape Town and surrounding areas.
• Check and ensure correct quantities are delivered to customers.
• Check and ensure correct quantities are collected from suppliers.
• Ensure delivery / collection documents are completed accurately for finance purposes.
• Ensure vehicle is neatly packed to prevent damages and breakages.
• Do daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defects / unroadworthy issues immediately.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is always clean.
• Liaise with customer / suppliers professionally and ensure trips are planned prior to departure from the office.
• Minor technical assistance at customer level with regards to the servicing of electronic dosing equipment and general maintenance from time to time.

• Assist with below items when so required:

xe2x80x93 Movement of products/ stock in and out of warehouse.

xe2x80x93 Packaging of stock onto shelves.

xe2x80x93 Picking and packing of customer orders.

Experience and Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Driver
• A valid Code 10 driver's license (3 yrs active driving experience) with PrDP and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of area roads and neighbourhoods
• A polite and professional disposition.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. rush hour)
• Able to follow instructions well.
• Ability to take responsibility and accountability.
• Computer literacy will be an added advantageous.
• Clear criminal record
• Sober habits
