Ivanplats is looking for a DraughtPerson REF: IVP-ENG- 2503
IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this mine of the future.
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12
Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture
Degree from a recognized technical college
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)
Draw manually favorable, but not essential
Computer Literacy
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Scheduling drawings to agreed priorities
Quality draughting services
Following specifications and calculations
Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems
Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations
Communicating with engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings
Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the Survey team
Ensuring final designs are compliant with legislation regulations
Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team
Preparing reports for management and other stakeholders
