Divisional Retail Operations Executive Sales
Pinetown - KwaZulu Natal - South Africa

Our client, one of South Africa's favourites, is looking for a Divisional Retail Operations Executive to grow retail profitability, sales, & the retail market share through providing an effective & efficient retail consulting service to retailers by leading & managing the retail operations department to optimise the performance of existing stores & the development of new stores.

Requirements:

• Business related tertiary qualification
• Completion of Senior Level Development Program
• 5 years' senior management experience in retail operations
• Ability to develop & maintain an excellent working relationship with retailers & other relevant stakeholders
• Personal characteristics: high energy, self-starter, collaborative
• Personal values: honesty, integrity, & reliability
• Track record of meeting operations objectives & customer expectations
• Knowledge of local retail property market

Key Performance Areas:

• Manage & lead the retail operations department
• Provide leadership to retailers in new business development, store development, & current retail management best operating practices
• Participate in the general management of the division as part of the executive team
• Facilitate the development & implementation of a divisional retail operations strategic plan in support of the divisional & national retail operations strategy & objectives
• Implement appropriate interventions aimed at ensuring retailers are relevant & competitive in the market
• Aggressively drive sales in new & existing stores while ensuring profitability is achieved
• Create a culture of continuous improvement & staff development
• Build & manage strong retailer relationships & be flexible & responsive to customer needs
