Job Title: Dispatcher Company: StoneCo Location: Verulam Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: StoneCo, a leading company in the Granite industry is seeking a qualified and experienced Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of materials to ensure timely and efficient delivery to our customers. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in maintaining clear communication with drivers, monitoring routes, and addressing any issues that may arise during transportation operations. Responsibilities: Route Planning and Optimization: Develop efficient and cost-effective delivery routes for transporting materials. Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while maximizing resource utilization. Communication: Maintain constant communication with drivers to provide directions and updates on delivery schedules. Act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and other relevant stakeholders. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Track the progress of deliveries and address any delays or issues promptly. Anticipate and proactively resolve logistical challenges to ensure smooth operations. Documentation: Keep accurate records of dispatching activities, including delivery schedules, delays, and route changes. Prepare and maintain reports on transportation efficiency and performance. Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns related to delivery schedules and transportation issues. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics is a plus. Experience: Proven experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar logistics role. Familiarity with transportation management systems and software. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess and resolve logistical issues. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team environment. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
